3CX Tunneling
3CX includes the 3CX Session Border Controller (SBC) which allows easier bridging of remote instances and connection of remote extensions. The SBC allows the 3CX tunnel to deploy all phone communications from the 3CX PBX over a single port locally and splits the call inside the firewall. 3CX’s Tunnel handling of VoIP traffic is more seamless and less problematic than other IP PBX solutions.
Security & Compliance
The mandated compliance required for any IP PBX server is standard on 3CX because enterprise-grade security controls are turned on by default. 3CX also provides additional built-in VoIP Anti Hacking Security settings such as: the use of Secure SIP, multiple configurable anti-hacking settings and IP Blacklisting, making the IP PBX System more resilient to network attacks. Most preconfigured unified communications platforms don’t usually have this standard and most legacy phone systems would require security on the network-side which affects the quality and speed of voice and data transmissions. 3CX can route all phone communications thru a tunnel over a single port that is then split out inside your firewall by a Session Border Controller, making a smoother, more secure and faster transmission than any other PBX.
